I decided to work with a health coach when I noticed my number on the scale refused to move. I was working out and thought I was eating right, but the scale wouldn’t budge. I knew it had something to do with my eating habits.
Previously, I did meal preparations. Eating 6 weighted meals a day. It worked as long as I did it consistently. One challenge I faced was eating multiple meals while at work. I couldn’t just stop what I was doing and eat 2 or 3 of my meals at work. It just wasn’t realistic for me to keep up with.
Initially, I was expecting Kiesha to assist with my lifestyle change by offering advice, tools, and experiences. She has gone above and beyond what I expected.
Kiesha made herself available to me at any time during the day and evening; she would answer questions I had concerning recipes and when I was battling a cold, she gave suggestions on what I should take so that my progress wasn’t delayed. Most importantly, she used Biblical principles to aid on this journey. During this time, Kiesha has helped me to grow more physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I am forever grateful to her and I thank God for allowing our paths to cross.
After two months:
- I’m down 6lbs
- My clothes fit better and when I look in the mirror, I see improvement with certain problem areas
- My energy levels are higher and I’m not as tired as I used to be
- My confidence has increased
What advice would you give people who have had similar challenges?
Seek help. We all need someone who’s going to help hold us accountable; that’s exactly what I needed. Trying to do it alone only got me so far, but what I needed was someone who was more experienced to help me overcome some of the obstacles I was facing.
What new things have you taken on as a result of feeling better?
I meditate more and am more appreciative of even the little milestones I’ve accomplished.
