That’s me on the right. Oh, wait, that’s me in the middle and on the far left, too. They are all me, at various stages of my journey of transforming my relationship with food. 2021 was a turning point for me on that journey and I have lost 41 pounds since January 4, 2021.
Actually, I didn’t lose the weight, because to lose something would imply that it needs to be found. I don’t intend to find those pounds again, so I will just say goodbye! The journey has been more about the shift in my thinking that has brought about lasting change. Learning to get out of my own way and recognizing that I am often my own worst enemy has been healing because I have also learned to grow in grace, towards myself.
I joined a Bootcamp in January that really changed my life and I am grateful to my friend Kiesha Easley, a Certified Health Coach, for starting this program. Check it out and consider signing up. You will have community and support in ways that transcend weight loss.
I am thankful for the friends I have made and the lessons I have learned from this community. I have been eating fantastic food while shedding physical (and emotional) pounds. I showed up to the Bootcamp thinking I was going to learn about healthy eating, but God had so much more in mind!!
